moved two Ross switches to form crossover. They had worked flawlessly in old location. I tested them prior to installation with a Lionel 1033 transformer. Again perfect. However, once wired into the AIU DCS system they chatter constantly. Switch machines are powered independently by a ZW. Does anyone have any thoughts. Thanks.

Try running a separate ground wire outside of the AIU.
It sound like wiring ground wire is to small. you need a bigger ground wire.

I used a 22ga ground out of the aiu to the common bus back to the zw. I'll change it out tomorrow and let you know.
John ,thanks for your input, but problem was caused by user braincramp. When I began to add switch into system I forgot to advance to proper AIU-duh
