Haven't been around for a while, but I just finished these up for my wargaming tables and thought you folks might be interested. They aren't going to fool any rivet counters, but I thought the overall effect was pretty good and at 125x50x50mm (5x2x2") they should size well with 0-27 stuff. I'm thinking about buying another batch and painting them up to go on some of my son's Menard's Flat Cars. 2 should fit nicely on their 10" beds and they're cheap and sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about them.
Anyway, here's the reveiw I put up at some of my wargaming forums:
On a whim I bought and painted up some of the uber-cheap laser cut MDF shipping containers from Crossover Miniatures.
4 for $15 was too good a deal to pass up.

Quick paintjobs all around, but I'm really pleased with them. You can't see in the pics, but they have door details at one end and the other is similar to the sides. They seem nice and sturdy too. There are more detailed containers out there to be sure, and these don't have opening doors but if you wanted to quickly build a yard of sturdy containers that build up fast and paint easy this is how I'd go.
These two got colored spray paint and stripe followed by a rusty brown wash (no wash on the red one) and tan drybrush
These two got black undercoat, wet/drybrush of base colors and stripe, Rusty brown wash, and tan and ivory drybrushes
