We recently had another discussion regarding the Chessie with some good information:

I bought all 3 road numbers of MTH's PS-1 equipped GP38-2s in Chessie colors. So pretty, and will look great triple heading a long train, once I get them converted to TMCC (2 came to me as non-working, aka project, locomotives.). My grandfather is who I got my train loving genes from, and he had gotten a hold of a bed sheet set of Chessie the cat sheets from the sleepers. I grew up using them. The sheets are long gone, but I still have the pillow case, and use it as my printer dust cover. I also have some prints on the wall of Chessie, her old man, and her kittens.
Only on the test track, but thats okay! The 8463 facing the camera direction was my first engine I ever purchased (younger than 15, but I dont remember exactly when). The other I bought off of ebay to turn into a dummy (e-unit problems), but instead, I cleaned it from top to bottom and runs like new!
You can see how dirty it was here (the bottom one).
Great video and pics by all. By far my favorite railroad. I can't wait until I get some Chessie's of my own.

You made me dig deep for this one.
I bought these years ago, probably at an Allentown meet. I took the E units out, got one dallee board and had hardwired the two of them together. They probably hadn't seen daylight in 4 or 5 yrs prior to this post. Anyway I had to disconnect them from each other for storage. The one unit fired right up in reverse only. The other just sat there, I may have disconnected the power lead when I was get ready to store them.
Well I guess this will go into the eventual to do list column, a real tether and a horn system would make these a fine set for public display running, might have to finally change one of the cab numbers though...
I also have other engines in chessie but don't have picture's GP38,GP38,GM50 (GP7),U36C,SD40-2, SD9, 2-8-4 Steam.
Sorry for the video quality.
