Looking for recomendations for Chicago area train stoers. Know of DesPlains Hobbies, Berwyns, Lombard Hobbies. I know Chicagoland closed. What else is around and just briefly the stocking preferences.

Not much left compared to the good ole days. Some of them I wasn't sure on anymore so I put "call ahead" to make sure it's still there and what you want.

The Illinois Railway Museum has a Model Railroad store and a Used Book Store. The bookstore has lots of books.

I visited Zientek's about 10 years ago. Room after room of trains for sale. They invited us into the basement and they ran their layout. Interesting, and just a bit creepy. Have you been there recently?

Not in a long time. It's on my to do list for this train season to go back and check it out.
Have you ever been to this Ace Hardware in Aurora? They are supposed to have o gauge trains there.

I only get to the Chicago area a couple of times a year, so no idea re Aurora.
