Nice pics. Is this March show the only show they have during the year? Also, I see some 3 rail track, is this 2 rail and 3 rail show?
Thanks, Rick
Dan, good to see you again at the show and thanks for the pictures. Time went by way too fast for me. The Alco RS3 is a great example of modeling and is an inspiration to shoot for higher levels of detail. Really special results using an inexpensive locomotive.
Awesome photos, thanks for posting!
nice photos, thanks!
...I wonder how Bob Heil did selling those beef patties?
Ah man. $25 Atlas trailers and Lou was there!! SHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhugar. Missed another good one.
Hey, thought I saw a middle rail???
Good stuff. The nice to see the twin cities o scalers module.
Someone else will chime in as I can not remember his name (and I should) ... those may be for sale or clients picking them up. He is a customer builder.

The passenger cars are built by Dan Pantera - Calumet Car Works. He has had the same cars in the display case for many years. Most of Dan's work runs about $650-700 per car.

Thank you. I could not remember his name
Lou Cross builds many of Dan's cars (okay, the basic car) and Dan finishes them.

Thanks much for the information. Those passenger cars are works of art. Truly beautiful-can you tell I like them.Sure wish someone could show more of his work.
Leon

Thanks guys for your responses. R Nelson seems to have the right guy. I thought that was Merlyn's table so I called him this morning and he said that they weren't his. Looks like some Overland Models units made in the early 90's. I think I saw some Pecos River thrall stack cars for sale in another pic too! Lots of nice stuff!
Thanks,
Travis
It's definitely not Erik Stott. I would agree it's likely Jim. There were several guys taking long looks at those two units, myself included.
I think he had 1500 a piece on them but was taking offers. He said they were tower drive units, no lights, and definitely run. Anyone test drive them while at the show?
The contest room is always shot by O Scale Trains so I don't do a lot of close up shots. Joe sends them to us for the site after publication.

The Tunnel Motors were at Jim Williams' table. Jim generally has the real "cherry" brass for sale at the Chicago Meet.
Does anyone know who built the GN SW unit that took second place diesels? They seem to have misplaced the paperwork and we have no idea who owns/built the model.
Also. did anyone notice a vendor selling complete early volumes of OST? I'd like to contact them if anyone knows who that was.
Thanks
Although 3-rail, I have a few of those Keil line Flange Lubricators. It makes a great track detail for sure!
The work on the RS unit is just amazing!
what gives there are no pictures of the model contest or did I miss something I mean more than one photo of something really cool I wish to see them all. one year I'll get to the show need to change careers
The O Scale Trains people shoot that for the magazine and then send them to us for the Website.
These are now on-line http://www.marchmeet.net/index.shtml
NIE! Who made the Hi- nose C430?
And was the 244 engine interior scratchbuilt or a kit?
SCRATCHBUILT.
