Chooch used to make detail parts for boxcar that were similar to the Intermountain boxcar details (Ladders, grabs, brake equipment, etc). These parts were beautifully done. Did anybody buy the tooling for these parts to keep them available?

P&D probably carried them but with Pat's passing I do not know what happened to their inventory nor if the items will be at The March Meet. John
FWIW, Your better off getting Brass detailed parts, especially if you are extensively using the 5 fingered crane!

Apparently only the scenery related products transferred to Walthers; the rest seems to have faded to black.
But much of those car parts are available from PSC, Wiseman, etc. The lovely resin cars and buildings are wherever the molds are now......
The Chooch / Ultra Scale II freight car detail parts do seem to have fallen into a black hole; hopefully (as they are so nice) they will re-surface someday
Check out San Juan Details
I recently bought some of the parts from them to build a body for my track cleaner.

In the same vein, Berkshire Valley had a line of freight car detail parts that were also very useful, but again when that was sold the freight car detail parts were discontinued.
