Currently, we're running a circle around the tree. 036 curves with either a 4.5 or 1.75 between each curve.

Come Christmas eve, Mrs. Claus better have plenty of cookies and adult "eggnog" for Santa, cause he's going to be busy.

Red track is elevated, purple is sloped, blue is the Hardwood Forest express. All curves are 036 except the upper reversal loop which is 031. It's a folded dog-bone combined with the twice around the tree layout.

Red box indicates custom/purpose built tree stand to raise lowest branches to 18in, while minimizing footprint. upper track height is 16in (yes I know that's a steep slope) but it's for the kids. Right hand switch used on upper loop since it's left over from last year.

@DoubleDAZ here you go

@Moonman, the green circle does represent the tree (branches). Since it's a fake tree, Santa will be able to shape the branches around the track. Santa wanted 21in off the floor, Mrs Claus said she didn't want a green rocket ship in the family room while waiting for 12/24. It doesn't look bad at 18. but 21 would be kind of hideous. I may have built a way to raise the tree as needed. She doesn't know this yet

Thanks. I just wanted to see what the grade was and it looks like a pretty steep 6.9%. So, I lowered the 2nd level from 12" to 6" and that reduced the grade to 3.4%. I'm considering raising my 2nd level to 12" and am looking at different ways to get up there. A small helix similar to your spiral is something I'm considering.
