Hi. Thanks for the add to the forum. It's been years since I had a train set. Wife wanted the Polar Exspress, so for Christmas to each other we bought the lionel o gauge set. Just thought I would share what we are doing with it to make it portable and storable. Most of this is either designed and printed, or made out of stuff from the shop. A loving work in progress.20190115_09195320190119_17120920190113_15454920190120_181914

i dont have any pictures at the moment.  but they are mostly styled after the pullman district in chicago.  santas workshop is directly inspired from the pullman clocktower building. If youre just going off the book it's just brick factory buildings with lighted trim.  I've always been taken by it.  I grew up around very similar factory buildings.

i am working pretty feverishly on a version of some of the buildings myself.

the entrance to your tunnel, those remind me of hirst arts molds... did you 3d print them?  i should really get into 3d printing.  ive been spending A LOT of time learning how to laser cut and laser engrave.  3d printing would really set me on to another level.

so what is your eventual plan with you christmas village?
