Hello,

My name is Mike Matysik Owner Of Classy Woods LLC.  I advertise in OGR.  I just wanted to send out a thank you to any of the forum members who have purchased display cases from us.  In part to your support we have been able to complete the move to our new shop.  I thought I'd share some photos to show American craftsmanship is still alive.  It has not been easy but all of us at the shop love what we do.

We will be introducing a line of wall mountable cases soon.  The case in the photo is a custom case we recently built for a customer kind of a special creation.

Thanks again to all and enjoy the pictures.

That's an interesting question.  I'd love to do a kit for people as shipping costs and shipping trauma to the merchandise can be pricey.  In addition I know that O gauge needs a lot of room and a typical 3' case does not always meet a customer's needs.

If anyone has an opinion on whether they would prefer a case that is fully assembled but limited in size versus a nice looking kit that can be configured to a larger case please chime in.  Sometimes wall space will dictate this but I think a 6' case in kit form may be more beneficial for display needs.

Thanks

I( see that the wall mount does have a base.
Is this just a stand alone or can it be mounted to the wall, minus the extended base on the bottom.
Are the doors plastic or glass.
How do you open it to place items in, by sliding glass or it the plastic has a hinged wood frame?

What are the width dimensions and the shelf height. Would also need it for standard gauge.

Did not see this on your web-site.

Ron we plan on making the production cases using a bypass door system.  We cut the acrylic in our own shop on the CNC and use a better grade.  If you prefer glass we can leave that out and you can source that locally.  The acrylic is a little clearer and easier to slide.  The case in the photo was a one up for a customer with a base for it to stand up.  If you need a larger O and Standard Gauge case we can figure that out.  We can ship on a pallet and it would save money by shipping multiple cases on the same pallet.  Additionally the cases do not get banged around as much when shipped on a pallet.  If you need a smaller case that can be shipped FedEx.

Mr. Butler thank you so much for the nice comments and sharing the photo.  Your trains look awesome and your photo too.  Thank you for  your business.  And sincerely to all those who have purchased cases we would not be here today if not for you.  Yes we do commercial work and custom cabinetry locally but the train community has been wonderful to help us pay the bills.
