My shop is full of junk as well as great stuff, all mixed together. It will be cleaned out this Weekend!
The house is full of "blue & orange boxes" (guess who ?)... The Shop is stuffed with "blue & orange boxes".. The garage has some. As I commence work on the new O-gauge layout "pretty soon", I wanted to clean up the clutter and see first hand what I have obtained for this dream project !!
So, to my utter surprise, I found four pairs of 2-indication Maximum visibility Dwarf signals, Part # U699
in O-scale, from W.K. Walthers @ $ 1.25 each. NEVER been opened !
Also, six Indicator Lamps (clear), Part # S-123C from Suydam @ $ 1.50 for all six !
And finally, one pair of 18-volt grain-of-wheat bulbs, Part # X-4000, from Kemtron @ $ 0.40 per pair.
Also found two plastic utility boxes filled with nice O-scale pantographs ! This stuff was purchased by me some 50+ years ago! I always wondered where it disappeared !
So, my advice when cleaning up your Shop or Train room is to look carefully. You just never know what you might find ! By the way, I'll be using those dwarf signals on my new layout !
