In the picture, it clearly shows the EL RS3 with gray paint, and maroon striping. The caboose is reversed, with maroon paint and gray striping. I don’t know of any other examples of this. Can anyone add another example?

The colors are correct, they match the prototypes.
I didn’t say they were incorrect. I was asking for other examples.
Lionel made for separate sale, two bay window cabooses, 6-17677, which is the same correct paint scheme (going for ridiculous prices), as in the set, and the reversed scheme, 6-6425.

Here’s one for you! The latest 120th Anniversary GS-4 passenger train. The striping is the exact opposite on the cars as it is on the engine. 🤪
