Does anybody have any experience with the Lionel command control switches for FasTrack? If they work well; they would save me an awful lot of wiring time.

I have several of them, and I think that they are the best thing since sliced bread! They are so simple to install and program, no wiring at all is needed, and they have been 100% reliable. I've even removed the supplied remote control switches and put them away in the box.
In case you haven't guessed by now, I absolutely love them.
They work great, and as Nicole says, no wiring. I'm probably going to sell all my remote switches and upgrade to those.
Stu,
I'm guessing that you still need to provide aux power to the switches instead of track power... is that right?
With my conventional remote Fastrack switches, I provide Aux power so my switches get a nice solid 12v regardless of track voltage.
Great to see you on the forum!

Actually, I see no need for aux power for the command switches, or even the remotes running command only. You always have 18 volts track power available, and the switches take minimal current, so you'd have to have a ton of them to have any effect on your track power consumption.
I know the arguments for aux power, and for the older switches that was a lot more logical. IMO, it's just more wiring for the Fastrack command switches. It's probably more logical for the non-command ones, since you already have wiring for the remote control switches.
One of the beauties of the command models is if you don't want the physical switch as well as command control, you don't have to do any wiring!
I was thinking of a scenario where you want to run a conventional loco on your layout. Like maybe an old loco or a beep.

I agree with aux power if you're running conventional Ed, no argument there. Most folks buying command switches plan on running them that way.
