Hi Paul,

I don't have an answer for you, but I know that in my Pentax DVD on CSX West Virginia Coal, CSX ran a lot of 3 bay hoppers. I believe the DVD was made in the 90's.

I'm not sure on the 70 ton size. Ones in DVD looked a tad longer, maybe 2 more panels, perhaps 100 ton? I'm not a prototype stickler so I'm guessing. Of course when you need to move something, you use what you have, which is what they do deep in the hollars.

Perhaps try posting your question on the "Real Trains" forum.

I am going to give a try at modeling the CSX's Logan sub in West Virginia. I found the DVD from Pentrax a valuable resource and highly reccommend it if you have an interest in that region.

I have also ordered all of the CSX 3 bay's sets coming out, in addition to my coal porters I already have.

Good luck

David
