Connecticut hobby shops

I will be working out of town near Hartford CT and was wondering if any one knew of any hobby train shops within an hour or so from Hartford, CT? I looked online but did not see much.  It looks like Charlie Ro is two and a half hour drive, is that place worth the drive? From their website it looks like a huge place but not a drive I could make on a week day evening. Thanks, Frank

There is also New England Hobby Supply in manchester. East of Hartford--Website is www.Timemachinehobby.com    It's in what used to be the Bon Ami factory-- can't miss the chimmeny--- Amato's is a very well stocked store with reasonable prices and selection from several manufacturers. Right on the main street of town. Middletown is south of Hartford, right next to the Connecticut river.
