Consisting Engines

I’m trying to set up a consist with MTH 2 rail engines. I get the engines to acknowledge the cv changes, that are listed in the manual. But no activity from either unit until I go back and change the cv back. Has anyone experienced the same issue and was there a fix for the problem. Thank you and any help is appreciated.

After rereading the manual I discovered the problem. The consist is up and running. Thank you
