I have heard there is a spacer washer on these, would it go between the motor and the frame or the truck and the  frame???   I got rid of the traction tire trucks and put post war ones in w/magna traction..Didn't see any in the Greenberg repair book or on Olson's site....

Some were shipped with the washer between the motor and the frame. It is supposed to go between the truck and frame otherwise the wheels rub on the frame and the motor overheats.

If you replaced the trucks with Post War trucks, then none of this may apply as the CC are metric and the Post War are obviously not. They are close but no cigar.

Here is what I have found out.  I measured the drive wheels for the CC and they were    30.54mm over the flange.  The post-war engine measured 30.43mm.  There are marks on the frame were the flanges were digging into the metal.  With the post war trucks and the washer between the frame and truck, she runs smooth as silk.  For a

while before it would put a load on the Power House and trip the breaker.  I am going to put the sound system, horn and bell, in the Williams scale GG1, the true blast set up just doessn't leave you any flexibility....
