Lion Chief Plus seems to be the control system of the future for all but the most serious enthusiasts.  We have 15 TMCC locos, 6 traditional (conventional E_Unit) locos ans 2 Lion Chief Plus locos.  I wand to convert our remaining conventional locos to Lion Chief Plus, not TMCC.  Who manufactures the boards for Lion Chief Plus and can I buy a Lion Chief Plus conversion boards like I can for TMCC from ERR?

No one is currently making LC+ boards for upgrade and I suspect if it happens it will be a wait.

I suspect many will argue your first statement as well.  Too many choices right now and really no clear "choice of systems" for most hobbyist I know.  Everyone is all over the place.

Not being casual with BlueRailTrains, just realistic.  I work on the model RR at a retirement community and most operators have no smartphones or tablets and struggle with TMCC and to some extent LC+.  I have a smartphone and like the BlurRailTrains offering but the others want it simple.  Just thought someone might make some LC+ conversion boards.  Who makes the LC+ boards that Lionel sells?  I assume not ERR.

I was hoping for something more specific than just "Lionel", like ERR makes TMCC boards.  Did Lionel farm out the LC+ boards as well?  And can I read any detailed specs on LC+ operation, or is Lionel keeping that proprietary.  "Talk To Lionel" told me that a conventional can-motor engine can't be converted to LC+.  I think they technically could be but can't be now because Lionel won't sell the boards separately or reveal the technical details.  Am I right?
