I picked up a a very nice Crown Model Products boxcar at a flea market but did not notice until I got it home that it was 2-rail not 3-rail. Does anyone know if a conversion is possible?
I did some reading and it seems this company’s line and tooling eventually went to Weaver. Would Weaver 3 rail trucks and couplers work (if I can find them). Would Atlas (I’ve done those conversions)?

Both 2 & 3 rail versions used Weaver trucks. Your best bet for Weaver trucks. Is to search out a MTH dealer. They produced the trucks for Weaver and kept producing them in their own packaging.
20-89022 should be the part no. For the Bettendorf trucks. I believe they are back in stock now. You will probably end up paying more for the trucks then the car you purchased. The plastic Weaver trucks can be found but they demand a premium to.
