How rare is the tail car of the coors light set and why , does anyone know how many where made?

I don't know how many were made, but there were a lot less than the whole set quantity! I know it took me almost two years to locate one, and I paid over double the MSRP to get it.
Thanks. I just missed a brand new set. Still in the box. Never used. On eBay I placed a bid for 860. But I felt that was my limit so some lucky person got it for 870.

I got my set and an extra car at a very good price, I only had to pay a premium for the much scarcer tail car. One oddity for the tail car, it's LED's were white instead of blue, I have no idea what that was all about. I changed them out for blue LED's so they match the other cars.
As a companion to their Coors Light train, Maybe MTH can now offer a Coors Heavyweight train !!!

I have some Coors billboard reefers. The prototype Coors reefers did travel on the Burlington Route back in the day.
I suspect they no longer have the license for the brand.
One had sold recently on a Cabin Fever Auction for $875!
