Just saw a big game commercial with the silver Coors train. Wonder if the new MTH may reissue it?

I would love to see a new version.
I believe the nose was different but not positive.
It looked like a fan was spinning inside the nose.

The nose is way different than the original. OTOH, the same idea, maybe it'll rekindle the desire for this set.
OTOH, I doubt MTH still has rights to the Coors brand...
I don't think so
It would be nice if someone would.. I'd buy it.. Like I 'need' one of 'those'....
It would require a renegotiation of Coors licensing agreement, then a retooling of the model to match the new version.
I doubt MTH would be willing to invest that kind of money at this juncture.
Would be nice, but as I said before I don't think so.
If they did a new version, maybe they could upgrade the electronics so the cars worked first time, every time. I added an extra cooler and the tail car, and I have to park on a known super strong signal section of track for all the cars to operate properly.
It might add interest on the secondary market for the original MTH set. But I also doubt the tooling will again be used to create newly produced models, given the fleeting nature of this ad campaign.
Creating new tooling for it? No way. MTH adjusted its business model a long time ago to avoid such limited-interest production, and adjusted its business model again to rely on existing tooling for all of its current product line.
On the other hand, if Coors would extend licensing for a limited release, maybe MTH would make use of the existing tooling, if the company can find it.
It would probably sell, I see a lot of interest in mine when people see it. Another one that is a perennial seller is the Aerotrain.
I spoke to an MTH rep (I think it was Andy) back in 2019 at a show and asked about a reissue of the Silver Bullet train. He chuckled, in not so many words said it would never happen, and indicated that MTH nor Molson Coors had access to the tooling.
Good commercial…people love trains.
Have one dealer take what needs to be made.

Sure, but who's to be the dealer to step up and take the risk? Also, there's still that sticky issue of the license to use the Coor's brand...
I saw the MTH train running during a layout tour. Everything worked. It is really cool! NH Joe

As long as you have a good signal, you can get it all working properly. I have no problem with the three original cars only, it's when I add the extra car and the tail car that sometimes one or two doors won't open on command. I can usually command them individually with the remote to open, it's just annoying they don't work every time. Even though I am getting good signal (10's on the signal test), there are some places on the layout that they will all work, and other places they won't.
OMG that commercial gave me flashbacks to the movie The Core! That cool laser turbine face they had on the ship/underground train called Virgil. (I was at a more impressionable age at the time)
Literally, right after that movie came out, I went and put this fan right in the front of my first custom computer. (it was the golden age of pc accessories.)
Anyway, this makes me want to fire up the 3d printer and make this new Coors train. Time to start grabbing reference images from that commercial, lol. Too bad the cad work would take forever.

John how many total cars do you run at the same time? I'm able to run all six cars at the same time and all doors open together and close together!
