Another thread mentions cottage industry dealers at York. I have an O scale kit of a double-ended Mack switch engine
from a cottage industry, and several structure kits from presumed defunct sources. Sometimes current cottage makers are really hard to track down...I just saw an ad for O scale gallows turntable kits, and set out after more info, but could not pull up a website. I have completed one,and am working on the second, of three different saloon kits from "Placer, Nevada, and El Dorado Railroad Old Time Model Kits", of Roseville, Calif....not THAT long ago, because there is a zip code. Listed as offered are a "Logging Office" and a "barber shop", and I presume others. These are very basic kits, but with tweaking, kit bashing with additional doors and windows, and the addition of details, can be made attractive. Better have built a few kits for the instructions are even more basic. With these three saloons, there should be drunks and gunfights galore in my
towns. Anybody else have one of these kits or heard of these? What other defunct or oddball structure kits do you have
or have you built? I pursue these for interest and variety.
