Bought 1 of these cars but has non Lionel coupler. Checked on Lionel's part list for (6107573050), SCALE TRK / 50T / NO COLL (CPLR 2.06") it but they are sold out. Can one use another type like 6-14078. Any other ideas?

So what will then work. 6-14251?? Any other ideas. Really upset having a car with trucks that are most probably converted to 2 rail.
Any coupler, Kadee, etc that will mate with the Lionel couplers. Not that big a deal if the height is ok. And, your track radius is not super tight.
Let me show you 2 pictures so you see the issue.

You could try posting that you want to trade the 2-rail trucks and couplers for original Lionel parts. Someone may be looking to do the opposite.

The trucks Lionel used on these cars have a relatively low bolster, lower than most other Lionel trucks. Weaver trucks are even lower even when used with their coupler. You could use Weaver trucks and add washers until the coupler bar clears the end sill on the car. MTH is selling Weaver trucks now and many of their dealers offer them.
