CP Premier Christmas boxcars

Anyone else waiting for MTH to get the circuit boards for these cars. I have a set of 4 and 3 are dead due to bad boards. All withing a month of getting them a year ago. Really they don't have the boards? I would think it would be the same board for all their Christmas Lighted items - houses, bridges, cars etc..
