Being from the Midwest, I loosely model, ATSF, MOPAC, Frisco, Alton and Wabash. Since my budget is limited, I take great delight in bashing together parts picked up here and there to make what I want. Today, while I watched the freezing rain fall outside, I completed a missing spot on the roster for a Frisco FA. For this project, I got a KMT Frisco ALCO shell, a K-Line FA base plate, put together a powered ALCO truck from K-Line parts, a non-powered truck, used a Williams by Bachmann reverse unit and Williams by Bachmann FA sound kit. I had added sound to my other FA's as well as cobbled a KMT FA set in MOPAC previously when parts were available from Brasseur's. I'm always on the lookout for K-Line parts and scour the auction sites, boards and local shows regularly. I have pictures attached for your enjoyment! Happy Trains!

Looks great, keep enjoying the hobby!
Keep it up.
This is essentially my main interest in the hobby. Can't help it. I should stop and run more of these things (locos and rolling stock), but, next thing you know, something else is on the workbench, belly-up.
Not exactly on topic but I did make a small Vulcan motorized unit using the chassis from a junk #60 trolley and a train show cab find. They both used the same chassis. Wasn't too hard.
I had a powered GP9 in FEC livery and wanted at least one more. I found a really cheap dummy unit on a not ebay auction site, and waited patiently for the proper power truck to show up, and one did, this time on epay for a double saw buck. Cut the hole in the frame using another Lionel loco for a template. Being 'old school' I used a regular E unit, but did install LED lighting, I converted my original powered unit to LED lights, and also in another dummy unit that came in a grab bag box of stuff I bought at a garage sale.

Lou....please post pictures rather than re-directing folks from the OP's thread.
