Anyone using crest rollers have a problem with engines wobbling when using them? What's the solution to this problem? I have mine on a section of Gar Graves track but the track is not mounted on a board. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Did you add the 3/32" nuts on the bottom of each machine screw?
Yes, mine wobble. I did not try to resolve the issue because for me it was just a test stand roller set. If this was for static display and a set high quality roller was needed, then the Crest rollers will not be for you. You might try the Bachrus rollers.
EDIT: I just checked mine to be sure and three of the four units are torqued. Again, for testing purposes they are fine, but for display operation, I would go with a better quality product.

Yes I did. I was careful to get the flats on the nuts so they fit the track.

I should have bought a roller test stand. I forget who makes those. Like a friend of mine said, it only costs a little more to go first class.
I have a set from Micro Mark, I’ve added the nuts to the bottom to lock them into place on the test track.......every locomotive that’s been on them wobble. They don’t wobble going down the track.....and I’ve had hundreds on that set of rollers...

I just did a search for Bachrus rollers. The owner retired and the business is closed.
FEET, there was a fella at York that had roller test stands for sale, he was either in the silver hall or the blue hall ( I can’t ever keep those two straight) ......maybe somebody knows who he is....I thought his test sets looked pretty nice....I thought about buying one while I was there.....but my mind was preoccupied, which don’t take much....😳.....Pat
I have two sets of the JAK rollers, they've worked well. I have one set of the MicroMark rollers as well. I don't see any wobble when I use them. I like the JAK roller sets best, they have two collector contacts, the MicroMark only have one.

Where do you find JAK rollers ?
I actually called Jak Manufacturing. They don't appear anywhere on their website, but I was able to get them.

John, do you remember what you paid for them?
Yep, I paid $60 a set. Not cheap, but when I got them, they were the only game in town. That was cheaper than me making them, which is suggested here at times. They're not super hard to fabricate, but they'd certainly take a lot more time than I'm willing to spend.
Yes, they're "well used" and probably due for a cleaning, but they are out multiple times a day, so they tend to earn their keep.
These are in the top drawer of the parts cabinet, so they get used more. The second set is slightly less used, and the MicroMart set only gets pulled out if I need more than eight roller sets.

On the subject of rollers and roller test stands, I recently discovered the RailStand O scale roller test stands on eBay, models OT-9508 and OT-8104. Does anyone on this forum own one of these? If so, please comment on the pros/cons and operation of it.
I've seen their ads, I know they're pretty expensive. They look nice, but I have a problem with parting with all that loot. I made one I posted above that has an offset track so I can connect wireless drawbar tenders to locomotives, just the locomotive is on the rollers. It's the one I had posted above.
It appears jak may not be making roller stands. I did find their website and phone number. 609-664-2451 if this is the correct number.
I will give jak a call and see if they have them. This is their Phone number posted on their website. 609-664-2451. For some reason I had a hard time finding their website.
It took me several calls to find out how to order them, it's like they forgot the product until you "jog" their memory.

Thanks John. I think these roller stand would be the best way to go without having to spend a lot of money. I can build my own base for them.
