Any idea what to look for here?  This engine (a Willaims diesel) has been packed away for over a year and was operating fine before. I just tried it out on my test track and nothing. Headlight comes on but it won't move. I tried to re program it but it appears to be completely dead. No blinking light during the 'SET' phase.

Says 'Cruise Commander U3.0'

I held it off from the chassis and don't see any loose plugs and everything seems tight.  Help...

I am looking at the pictures you have posted, I am not sure if the the wiring is the same as the CC 4.1 I just installed. the Cruise Commander 4.1 has four wires connected to the green post on the right side of lower photo. Two from motor brushes and two from track power. Do you have wiring diagram for this board?

Ray

Sam, you can go to the the ERR website and download the manual for the Cruise Commander. Ray's theory is a good one. The 4 wires that go to the 4 terminal green connector look a bit suspect. If you have an ohmmeter check from the screw terminals to the motor terminals. Blue and yellow should go to the motor.

I see all sorts of things wrong in those pictures.

Yes, there should be 4 wires connected to the green post next to the bridge rectifier.

The yellow and blue wires go to the motors.

The black wire should go to the outer rails.

The missing red wire goes to the center rail.

Also, the antenna is plugged into the wrong spot. It looks like the antenna wire is plugged into the coupler connector. That wont work at all.

You also have no lights connected to the board with means no directional lighting. You said your lights work so therefore the lights are connected directly to track power, not the ERR board.
