Francis Osborne Kellogg was among other pursuits was in the dairy farm business in Derby Connecticut. I'm wondering how she brought her milk to market ? Did she use a milk train which ran daily on the New Haven line terminating in Bridgeport and points north or some other railroad. Her homestead which is now the Osborne Homestead Museum contains a Milk Room which today represents a room where Francis conducted business like an office. I'm wondering if bottle/can milk was sold at one time via the Milk room to locals, hence the room name.
