I look for the access id on the iPhone wireless page and once it's there click on it to put the phone on the caboose wireless, then I go to the app. Wait for the caboose to show up on the app. I don't change or deal with the password. Just skip that. Then the camera picture comes up and you can just view it from that point. Later I just rename the caboose from CAB to whatever road name it is under the Modify Device window.

I just received my UP camera caboose today from Charles Ro.

I set it up pretty quickly. I used “settings” in the camera app and put in default 8888 but changed the password as recommended not to continue to use the default. I did not use my house wi-fi password. The caboose generates its own wi-fi signal, so house wi-fi not needed. I did not connect on my IPad to the house wi-fi; I went into “settings” on my IPad and went to “wi-fi” connections and scrolled down to the long name like “CM32EA-1D7f........” as shown on page 6 of the enclosed manual.

The camera clarity looks very good to me on the IPad.

Hope this helps!!

Regards,

Carl J

Below is a screenshot of the Wi-Fi setting on an iPhone 7 Plus.  Nothing is going to work until you have a connection to of the Camera App to your device. Step 1: Go to settings     Step 2: Go to “Wi-Fi”     Step 3: Make sure you see this long number with the red arrow.      You will have to check this every time you use the “CupolaCam™”

Hope this helps and good luck: Gary
