Custom 12-axle depressed center flatcar using the Lionel 6418-4 flatcar casting.
The Lionel 6418-4 depressed center flatcar casting has been issued on several flatcar models with various loads. The loads included a transformer, generator or bridge girders. The custom model shown uses 4 pair of 3-axle Lionel trucks. Overall length of the completed model is 17-3/4 inches in length (71 scale feet). The original Lionel metal trucks and metal bolster were replaced as shown.
