Lionel polar express Berkshire 2.0

I have a new polar express question, did any one else purchase the new lion chief plus 2.0 berk? I purchased it as a upgrade for my sons set, I have another new Hudson which is 2.0 and it sounds great the new berkershire sound set seems to be sub par compared to the the regular lion chief set, despite changing the volume the whistle is still very quiet, any one else experiencing this, no change between bluetooth and legacy control.
