Is there anyone out there doing custom run O gauge cars in small quantities? Now that Seymour Knight of Pleasant Valley Process passed away, we have not been able to do a custom car for our Museum in low quantities.

Well, when we dealt with Pleasant Process we were able to order 24 O gauge cars at a time; and 72 HO cars at a time. We can't order them in hundreds because we just don't have the sales.

Another key question: when you say "custom made cars", are you in fact referring to custom painted & lettered cars, or do you mean truly custom manufactured cars of specific prototypes?

The cars we did were using stock cars, I assume undecorated. Pleasant Valley Process used cars from Weaver as far as the O gauge cars. They were painted up and then printed with our custom graphics. I am attaching two of the cars we have done. The North Freedom Canning Co. reefer was our last car that Seymour did for us.
