Sorry I'm not very good with electricity so please forgive. Hooked up the CW-80 accessory leads to an O72 switch and when I throw the switch it tries to switch but buzzes and forces back to its original position.

Is this an AC/DC issue and I can't use the CW-80 for track switches (rather only accessories like lights, etc.)? If so, can someone recommend a power supply for my switches or other thoughts/ideas? Or could this be some other issue?

Thank you for your help.

The accessory voltage is adjustable on a CW-80. Maybe the voltage is set too low. Try hooking it up to the track voltage connection at full throttle and see if the switch works. I don't remember how to adjust the accessory voltage, but I know it involves holding a couple of the buttons down and pushing the throttle to the desired output.

You don't need to connect both accessory posts to the switch, just the non-common(power) post. The switch will receive common through the track rails.

Which lead right into the next series of questions, all of which must be answered to solve the problem - what is the date code on the CW, which post(s) are you using for center rail & common, and which post are you connecting to the aux power pin on the switch?

Your binding posts, 4 of them, are identified as(viewed looking at back):

Red A   (Track)          Red B(Accessory)

Black U(Under A)          Black U(Under B)

Red A (track) connected to center rail,  black U connected to outer rail, red B (accessory connected to track pin on the switch, black U tried both connected to outer rail and not connected at all. Thank you all for your help again.

OK - that is the newer version. The two black posts are common, so you have the right connections.
