The fuse holder is 2 1/4" long ,i can open & close the fuse holder with no problem,i also have 2 wire nuts connecting wires,but i am going to take them off & sodder them together then cover them with heat shrink tubing,but what i can't understand is why did reverseing the wires on the fuse holder allow me to get a reading of 11 volts instead of 1.4 volts,also the fuse holder is for fuses of 1 1/4" long which is the size i have,although it is 1/4" longer than the origginal fuse.The fuse holder is also a 1/4 turn type.
OK,i redid some of the wires eleminating the wire nuts now the cover went on with no problem checked the voltage without a load & got 10.4,with a load hooked up 1 engine got 15.5 everything seems to be ok,thanks to all of the forum members help.
