Here is my 3rd version of a track cleaning car  the other 2 are on you tube under  daniels lionel 3927 track cleaning car

This time I wanted a strong unit and once again from my other  small motorized units I posted here  on OGR I was able to mount a 2028 -100 motor after some filing and adding the drive gear...

I used in the rear 2 traction tires . I read that using the scotch pad here on the units worked well .. And I must say just the scotch pad and the wipe  really does work fine. .

The man is from a 65 handcar that  I saved  (it was unable to flex an more , and is handling the new job fine)..daniel

Heres the Modified 3927 with a  Lionel 2028-100 installed pushing the cars ...

First item I made it with traction tires and it starts out slow no slipping and  plenty of power and speed or slow

speed.. ,... AS a side note I DON'T know why Lionel never did this the field is the same Size  as a 200 serie, 600 series and most motorized units  EXCEPT taller and with its own contain bearings for the armature and all the motorized units! I know they could of done it .. they had the parts and where still using them in the GP and F3's of that time period.. and nobody would of ever called them... cheap or ever called them junk compared to the 1950 units ,

The parts I used are from all the same time period..  Gee I wonder if I could put a 2028-100 in a handcar (lol)..daniel

BTW, have to ask:  Your forum handle is DanssuperO, but I dont' see any Super O on your laout!

if you go to you tube and type in daniels super o layout you'll see alot of my super O back in the day... I sold it all and  started my new attic layout using my old handle ...  and listen to alot of old timers and decided to go tubular...daniel

The other reason is because I was very active in the superO fourm ,, Mike started and as you know today  if

someone googles a name it will pop up and if someone from back in the day wanted to contact me they could

find me  through a google search...

Heres one with the super O
