Due to the change of date(s) for the O Scale National in Indianapolis that now coincides with the fall Cherry Valley Swap Meet & Open House, the club has opted to change the date of our meet to Saturday, November 14.

We will post additional detailed information closer to the date. Inquiries can be sent to: cherryvalleyrr(at)verizon(dot)net

Unfortunate that you had to move it, but circumstances are what they are and there's no point in being in conflict with other shows/meets.  Hope tat I can make it that weekend.

Crowded Fall - Indy in Sept, Strasburg again in mid-Oct, Cleveland at the end of Oct, and then CV.  We'll need Dec-March to recover enough to head out to Chicago,

Martin,

And for some of us you can add the TCA York show in October thus making three consecutive weekends that month.

John,

Certainly not dead. Look at the success of your Strasburg shows as an example.

My perception of what has slowed down are the dollars spent on purchases in 2 rail.

Many modelers seem to have most of what they want and are not in the frenzied buying stage that existed 10-20 years ago when companies like Overland and PSC were flooding the market with new products.

Indeed, we are losing O scalers due to their demise, but the hobby itself does not appear to be losing folks to other hobbies.

Agree.  Some aspects have shifted emphasis; different levels of selectivity and one can locate most items with some reasonable effort and patience....
