dcs engines not being read by remote

Is the red light on inside the TIU? How is the TIU powered?

Have you tried a different TIU channel? Power the TIU with aux in if possible.

Yes, the red light is on.  and the dcs remote sees the tiu

if the red light is lit on power up on the z4000 then you either have a short or transformer issue ! I would disconnect your transformer from track and then power up and see if shorts clears. if is does it is either a track problem or short in your engine! if the train starts as soon as you power it up the tiu is not sending out the watch dog so engine will stay silent! sounds like your having a tiu problem does your tiu find the remote and if so do you have the DCS turned on go into dcs setup and  set aon which will turn all channels of dcs on!  aon means all on for dcs!

Still working on it.  I deleted the engines and track and added them again and its working better.
