Seems your problem is with the engine. What number is it? IIRC don't you just select the enjine and then hit start?

The shop here could care less about trains and is the first listed! Think I'll look phone numbers up. Thanks

I think he gave up on that source in his reply. Not sure why, the Muffins are very customer oriented.

With the scarcity of information about the layout configuration of the equipment in use, it's pretty hard to offer any concrete advice.  One observation, switching remotes for the issue you mentioned is pointless, it clearly seems to be a DCS track signal issue, not a remote to TIU issue.

You might start with the exact model of the locomotive, the hardware and software version of the TIU, and the size of the layout, that would be a good start.  Also, have you tried other DCS locomotives on the same tracks?  How about setting up a few feet of test track and connecting a TIU channel directly and see what results you get?  When you try something, you need to be specific as to the exact steps you take.

Remember, the folks in this thread are doing this in ASCII, so you need to be their ears and eyes if you expect positive results.

This is on a test track with new track. I listed all 4 engines in my last post,if you had seen it. I have supplied all the info and the problems that I have.

Really?  I see nothing of the kind in this whole thread.  Below is EVERY post of yours in the thread.  Please point to the one that answers any of the questions I posed, I starting with your initial post.

Looking for someone that can tell me what's wrong with my dcs

Start up on screen doesn't follow manuel, when I get to where I'm supposed to start up, it won't. I can hear a click for start up and shut down and a hum in-between. The signal strength jumps from 10 to 6 or 7 when nothing is moving. Tried 2 remotes, no change. Thanks, Jim

I'm going to Monday, are they into trains?

Thanks for your help.
