Is the DCS Remote Commander all I need to get everything out of the SF Trainmaster?

The engine you have is a PS1 engine and doesn't have DCS. It's a conventional engine.

Thanks Allan. I just bought a Legacy system to go with the new legacy Mikado I have, so the PS3 might be a bit away.  For those of us that are "occasional" runners this cross pollination gets a little confusing. Thanks to this forum for helping keep me somewhat between the rails!

Jeff T,

If you really want to cross polenate, run both the DCS full system with the Z4K,

and its side receiver, which also allows conventional running at the same time, with the Legacy system all at the same time.  I finally chose full DCS and old Conventional and it's still a lot to remember how to operate from the remote, and with the addition of the AIU for hand held switching it's a might complex sometimes, but a real blast to run.
