Hello everyone,

I just purchased the complete setup for DCS wifi to run my legacy, conventional and MTH Trains on my tablet. If it makes any difference I have an Android by Samsung. We do have a WPS button on our AT&T router. The router is in our library and I will be running trains in the basement. Can you tell me the best way to pair our router with the Wi-Fi. Should I bring the Wi-Fi by itself upstairs and try to pair next to the router? We will be around 25 to 30 feet away from the router in the basement where I am setting up the system. Please advise.

Also, what is the best way to create a memory library of all my trains in the tablet once I have everything set up.

By the way oh, I do have revision L on my tiu and just purchased the complete system from Legacy station so everything should be new as far as upgrades I guess.

Any help or pointers you can give me would be well appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving and much thanks as usual, Jerry

Hi Jerry:

• Below is how I hooked up the router to the MTH - DCS - WIU.  My router is in the same room but across from the layout. I have found that this works out well having a direct wire to the WIU.  This process will prevent a lot of issues.

Wire to MTH Wi Fi v1

2 WIU Wire v2

This is what has worked for my layout for the past four years. Hope this helps: Gary
