Just a question I had. My friend has one and says it doesn't have TMCC. Wanted to find out if this was true.

I was bidding on one not long ago that was listed as conventional only...which is what I wanted. But I didn't win so just what I read.
They were offered with or without sound and some were two rail models.
Yes, One of the last things I purchased from Weaver was a 2-rail model without TMCC or sound.
So they sold three rail models that didn't include TMCC? I could always program my friends engine with TMCC if needed.
Because the instructions did say it comes with something called COA? My friend isn't exactly handy with these things.
I believe that the "COA" was a "Certificate of Authenticity", which was pretty much a piece of paper saying "yep - it's a model".
I had a Weaver John wilkes without TMCC. It was from their first run. MTH made a set of heavyweight cars to match. It is a striking set.

Thank you. I'll be sure to pass the information along to my friend. I'll probably need to install TMCC and odyssey for him however.

IIRC, Weaver's certificate listed what numbered unit the item was within the item's production run (i.e. Unit 23 of 250).
The Weaver John Wilkes (or Black Diamond) are beautiful models.
