After all, the Moffat Tunnel, it ain't.  And the Lessfat Tunnel simply didn't sound right.   So...

I decided to extend the trolley line at the J. Reilly McCarren museum's Lionel display through the mountain to the other end...

That looks great, Mitch!  Summer at one end of the tunnel and winter at the other!!  Wow!!

Can't take credit for the original scenicking; that was done by Bob Bretch of Van Buren...

Now, I will never be able to go through the Moffat without thinking "Lessfat."  Very funny.

(bows)  You're too kind!

I have seen Moffat in print for years.  I have pronounced it in my mind with a short 'O' and an 'A' that sounds more like a short 'E' in my Western Pennsylvanian accent.  Because of that, I didn't get Mitch's joke, until you commented, Joe!  Then it hit me!  I think I will always think of Mitch's 'Lessfat' from now on!

Hee!  I pronounce it 'Maw-FYTT", myself.   The punnery was strictly because of the spelling, and because "Loffat" would have been TOO subtle...
