I recently purchased this model locomotive. The rear ditch light on the Engineer's side is inoperative--never lights. Any help in troubleshooting is greatly appreciated!

MTH improved the rear ditch lights to only work with the rear headlight. I would check to see if the spring connector for the rear lights plug into is making contact on the pad. Does the rear headlight work?
Paul, Yes, the real headlight is operative. Of the two rear ditch lights, the one on the brakeman side (opposite of the engineer side) does light. This light is on solid when moving in reverse and flashing/blinking when operating the horn.

Brian check the connection. Sounds like the one light is not making contact. I've had that happen on a few MTH engines when the spring wire wasn't pressing on the contact pad. Make sure the plug is in all the way too.
I'm curious didn't MTH eliminate spring and pad connector in favor of molex?
No, but a lot of the diesels do use molex for ditch lights. One light to one molex. So you could have a loose molex connection or a wire broke under the insulation at the LED, or the LED is bad. G
