Curious if MTH is still producing Realtrax? Also, is Realtrax any quieter than Fastrack?

Yes, it is being reproduced. Switches have been delivered, track may be enroute. However, the latest run of track is hollow rail (except switches). The original realtrax, available used, has solid rail which in my opinion is quieter than hollow rail realtrax and fastrack.
My hobby room floor layout has some hollow and some solid rail mixed. I purchased pieces over time from different places. Regardless of hollow or solid rail it is still much quieter than Fastrack in my opinion. Fastrack is much better for a temporary layout for Christmas as an example though due to the ease of assembly and disassembly but seems so much louder to me. My Realtrax is even on a hard floor whereas my fastrack is on a thin blanket.
