Just picked up a 262E and while giving it the once over, noticed the frame is embossed with the name "Doler Zink."  I can only imagine it's a replacement... but does anyone have any information about this company and its products?  Are they decent, i.e., do they hold up over the long haul?  Thanks,

Steve

Doler zinc was one of the die casting contractors that Lionel used for both standard and o gauge during the "classic period" and most times their mark can be found on original frames and some other larger castings.  One way to know for sure that you have an original frame is if you see the " Doler Zinc " mark. There are of course other ways, but that one is a "fer sure"!
