I just completed my drive in theater. If anyone is interested, I will post some pictures in the next week or so. It will hold eight automobiles in the 1/43 to 1/50 scale. It also has a Projection booth and a snack bar. I think it looks pretty cool.

Ticket booth is a Plasticville Turnpike Toll Plaza and the Refreshment stand is a Plasticville Dairy Bar. I made the projection booth with foamcore board. I put in a couple of flashing LED's to simulate the flicker if the projectors. The screen is a 9" screen DVD player. I plan in running some older cartoons, and maybe even The Polar Express. Not sure yet.

I remember going with my pajamas on and a sleeping bag with my pillow.  I always went with the neighborhood kids because we never had a car. I remember some of the movies we saw like Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson, Gulliver's Travels, Pinocio, Dumbo, Fantasia, and many more. Let us all know what your memories are about family time at the local drive in and the movies you remember seeing as a child in the age of innocence.
