Dropped Cab 2 Remote while Lionel Vision Line Big Boy was running on the layout. Now there are three other engines on the layout the are working perfectly but the Big Boy that was running when Cab 2 was dropped will not run. I have tried pushing reset on Cab 2 but still won't run. What next? Would putting orange module in and reprogramming possibly get it going again? Thanks!

That's pretty odd. If the other engines respond to your CAB-2, that means it wasn't damaged. Clear the BB engine data from the CAB-2. Then do a complete reprogram of the engine as you would with a new Legacy loco. You may even want to change the BB ID# if that doesn't work and retry.
What do you mean by "it won't run". Just won't move? Is it still making sound?
If so check the train brake slider.
Locomotive info is actually stored in the base not the handheld so as volphin says if other locos run the big boy should too.
Unless the remote landed on a button and changed a setting or something to that effect.
Very sorry guys. I feel so stupid. The train brake was on. Why would the other engines run with train brake on and not the Big Boy?
So it WAS the train brake? I believe legacy locos remember/ hold whatever actions or settings they receive until the user changes them.
As far as the other locos running O.K.. The train brake must be applied during operation to work. If you slide the train brake on while the locomotive is off the power up the loco the brake will not function until the slider is moved.
The other engines as Rick says remember their last setting.
Are the other engines TMCC, perhaps running in CAB1 or R100 mode? Train brake doesn't work for those modes.
Thanks to all who replied to my original post. The Cab 2 is a very interesting system. It is the only system I have ever used to operate trains. Still on the up side of the learning curve.
