Because of an unusual geometry situation on my layout I have a pair of cross-over switches (Ross w/DZ-1000 switch machines) where the straight route of one switch leads to the diverting route of the opposing switch and I’d like to wire them so that one switch controller controls both switches at the same time.I’m thinking that all I have to do is flip-flop the two outside wires connected to one of the DZ-1000’s but I thought I read somewhere on this forum recently that this won’t work. (Or maybe I misunderstood something.)   For other reasons that I won’t go into here I don’t want to use the non-derailing feature although I realize that that would probably take care of the issue.

So before I crawl under the layout, will my idea work, or am I missing something?

Well I wired everything up and it works! But, and this is something I didn't anticipate but probably should have, BOTH LED's on the controller are lit, regardless of the switch positions. I run conventionally and my control panel is quite a distance away from this pair of switches so I need some kind of indicator on the panel to show me which way the switches are pointing. I'm thinking I'll need to install the 2nd switch controller after all but if there is a better idea out there, I'd welcome suggestions.
