DZ-1020 Stays On, Won't Turn Off

If the infared sensors aren’t line up just right and or the distance apart is not correct , that will cause them to keep going. Double check your wiring etc, which I’m sure you have. I had a problem with mine doing the same thing. I had to send them to Dennis Zander from Z-Stuff. He will fix them free. Call or email him. Try turning one of them slightly right and left to line up sensors while they are running. When lined up right they will stop running.

I did try that; I actually unscrewed the signals, because they were outside the 14-inch range, but no matter how close they were, they still wouldn't shut off. Also, I thought if you have the isolated rail, you wouldn't need the sensors anyway.

I didn’t isolate the track. I used Z-Stuff 1011 Block Signals. They work great. When Train passes block signals it fires up the crossings. Check them out on Z-stuff web site or just goggle Z-Stuff 1011 block signals.

They usually come in package with new crossing gates.

Mine did come with the signals, and I actually hooked those up too, since I saw them being used in the diagram for the isolated rail setup. The crossing signals stay on whether the block signals are wired up or not.
