I have a proto3 premier union pacific e9 number 951 and the box says it is a e8. Is this correct how do I go about finding the correct a unit 949 of the same year it's the year without wired connections from each unit

according to most online site that engine is listed as a e9 that is engine 949 for the union pacific
also the differnance is the e8 had a rubber casket to hold head light in and the e9 had a steal casket

mth house calls it and e8 but to online sources the number 949 was a e9
MTH E8's were from Weaver E8 molds, with some upgrades. My Weaver E8's with some Bowser, Cal Scale, add-on detail, EOB electronics upgrade, Timko, motor with flywheel, change, and lighting modifications.
