I went out to Visit my son in Kirkland Washington and was looking for a parking spot found one right next to Eastside trains.

What a nice store! well stocked and some nice layouts too. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner as it was filled with customers. I'll definatly stop by again.Well worth the trip to anyone going to Seattle.

I've only bought once from Eastside but that was a pretty major purchase with the grand total coming in just under $1K. Johnny was great to deal with. Not only did he give me a good discount on the set I purchased, also test ran it like I asked and made sure the engine was broken in and everything was as it should before it left his store. Since it was a large heavy box shipping cross country, he also split the shipping with me without me asking him to do so. Highly recommended.

Even though I live in Oregon, Eastside Trains is kind of my LHS.  I have been dealing with them for years.  Steve, the owner and his staff are super.  Weather I order by phone of visit the store everyone is helpful and informative.  Any member who visits the Seattle area should make it a point to stop by this train store.  They are well stocked in ALL gauges of model railroading.

Most of our purchases are with Eastside Trains although like TexSpecial we live in Oregon.

A couple of times a year we used to pack up the "broken locomotives" and take them up for repair.  Made a nice trip ... visit the grandkids when dropping off and picking up the repaired items.

Now that the MTH tech has retired to the South ... don't know what we'll do for MTH repairs.  EST still has a good TMCC tech last time up.
